The Effect of the Current Ratio (CR), Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) on Return on Equity (ROE) in Companies in the Automotive Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2019–2024

This study aims to determine the effect of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Total asset turnover on Return on Equity (ROE) in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019-2024 period. Using quantitative methods and associative approach, the population in this study consists of financial statement data from PT Astra International Tbk, PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk, and PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk. The sample used comprises three manufacturing companies, with data sourced from the balance sheets and income statements of PT Astra International Tbk, PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk, and PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk. The statistical analysis used in this study is the coefficient of determintation and multiple regression. Meanwhile, the hypothesis testing methods used were the t-test and f-test. The results of study indicate that Current ratio has not significant partial effect, while the Debt-to-Equity Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover showed a negative and significant Effect on Return on Equity. The Current Ratio has a t-value of (-1.321) and a regression coefficient of (-0.033). However, the Debt-to-Equity Ratio has a negative and significant effect with a t-value of (-5.987) and a regression coefficient of (-0.049). Total Asset Turnover also shows a negative and significant effect with a t-value of (-9.767) and a regression coefficient of (-2.013). Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on ROE with an F-value of 71.161.
