This study aims to analyze Gojek's strategic transformation from a ride-hailing company to a super app that integrates various digital services in one platform ecosystem. This transformation places Gojek as one of the key players in the rapidly growing digital economy landscape of Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The research method used is a quantitative approach based on secondary data analysis with content analysis and bibliometric review techniques on financial statements, industry data, and relevant scientific publications. This study found that the strategy of diversifying services, building a data-based ecosystem, and expanding into the digital financial sector (GoFinancial) are the main pillars of Gojek's transformation, with a Gross Transaction Value (GTV) of USD 22 billion in 2023. On the opportunity side, the increasing penetration of smartphones, the digitally literate young population, and the growth of ASEAN's digital economy which is projected to reach USD 1 trillion by 2030 are the main driving factors. Meanwhile, the intensity of competition with Grab, ShopeeFood, and other local players, evolving regulations, and long-term profitability challenges are obstacles that need to be carefully navigated. The findings of this study contribute to the understanding of the business dynamics of digital platforms in emerging markets and their implications for the corporate strategy of Indonesian technology companies.
